In Memory of Vic Braden

In year 2011 (I was 11 yrs.) I did have the great privilege to meet Vic Braden (1929-2014) together with his nice wife in our local tennis center where Vic was teaching and presenting for some days. Unfortunately he passed away 3 years later.

With no doubts Vic was one of the best tennis instructors worldwide.

Vic’s work has been a major influence on how Tennis gets teached. He pioneered a scientific approach to teaching Tennis and at the same time emphasized heavily the importance of making it fun for students.

His contributions to the tennis teaching industry cannot be overstated and I am deeply grateful for the inspiration he provided me with!

Of course I like his motivating message “Vanessa, one day Serena will be afraid to play you.” ๐Ÿ™‚
